Places to Visit
From our beautiful capital, Amsterdam, to our windmills and cheese market in Zaanse Schans. From our amazing Dutchie-venice in Giethoorn to the hightech dams in Zeeland, there are countless beautiful unique places we will recommend you to visit.
Our Culture
Just like every other country, the Dutchies have their own way of doing some things. There is no culture quite like ours when you compare it to others. One of the action that clashes most with other cultures is our way of saying Hi. Whilst greeting each other we give three kisses; right cheek, left cheek, right cheek. During conversation we maintain strong eye contact and converse in a direct way of talking. Small talk is minimal en criticism is welcome. It’s understandable that this confuses you and that’s why we will guide you through our dutch etiquettes.
Traditional Food
Putting our Michelin-Star cuisines aside, we’ll be highlighting the traditional Dutch snacks and meals that are must-tries when visiting the Netherlands. This list includes mini pancakes, Dutch cheeses, raw herring and even warm croquettes from a built-in vending machine. The Netherlands offers hungry travelers plenty of unique culinary experiences to make sure they leave satisfied and happy.
Our National Heroes
Our country has many duchie-heroes of whom we are very proud. This list includes international music artists, athletes, models but also our local farmers and cheese clerks. We will tell you all about them, including some of their secrets.
